Elsa Majimbo, pardon my French but, is it Naivetè?

Very many years ago I heard a very famous quote in my village

“you can take a man out of magutuni but you can't take magutuni out of the man”

Elsa Majimbo & Naomi Campbell

Elsa & Naomi

After forcing herself to think Kenyans hate her, and KOT (Kenyans on Twitter or is it KOX?) actually telling her they do, Elsa Majimbo moved her online base to Mzansi. South Africans had never seen anyone chew crisps in such a fascinating manner, so they accepted her with both races. Showbiz is huge in South Africa so she hit immediately in the echelons of glitz and glamor, KOT was furious and Elsa was unapologetic (allegedly). She told anyone who could hear that Kenyans “despised her because of her color”, as if we're not darker than her.

In the meantime, Elsa’s fame was soaring, and soon Beverly Hills noticed. Who fits better to make an industry plant than the teenage black girl “comedian” rejected by her own people, embraced by her other nationality and could really apply oil on her body? Jokes aside, she was the perfect poster girl to appease the African community in the USA showbiz that YET another one of them had made it up there.

Her speed to stardom was somewhat shocking, for someone who was doing absolutely nothing exceptional, and you would not be the only one with the inkling of “Okay, I see what you’re doing but what happens when the jig is up?” Yes, some, (key word some), people may find you funny but what’s next, how do you capitalize on that moment and use the opportunity to create an actual career/future for yourself?. Elsa was chewing on camera saying some jokes with a style she (I’d say stole) from Chebet Ronoh.

But Rihanna was impressed, I guess so was Asap Rocky, he seems to follow her around alot. Anyway, Elsa featured in magazine covers for brands such as Valentino, moved abroad and was/is a darling of Beverly Hills. Everyone back home would assume she's living the American dream, or is she? Or did she just wake up from the American dream? Now Elsa look where we are back at, unkind to Kenyans, un belonging to South Africans, and a general lack of being unwanted away? You couldn't use this opp to stay at the top, now what we are seeing is someone grappling with dealing with their own failure.

All of that and for what? Cause, look where it brought you? Back to us.

Whatever is happening, one thing is for sure, someone is telling the truth, someone is lying and somebody else is hiding something.

In my (short, yes, short) experience on social media, every story brought to SM, aka the court of public opinion, is then judged by the public, and the case closed. Eventually though, the truth comes out. Right now thousands of people, including myself, are talking about a matter that most definitely, only two people know what actually happened. The rest of us are gonna watch and just let it play out, unless you're a writer and you really want to say a few things.

The “Kenyan” Stargirl , Elsa Majimbo, has spoken out in lengthy videos across many platforms alleging some damnation against veteran supermodel Naomi Campbell. As an Arsenal fan, the name Campbell is very close to my Sol but not this time. Elsa Majimbo went on a tweeting spree and ALLEGEDLY (admin, can we make the allegedly any bigger, and bolder, yes ALLEGEDLY) along with other insinuations, that Naomi drove her into alcoholism at the age of 19.

RECAP

Elsa and Naomi met in 2020 when she visited Malindi, Elsa contacted her, she and her brother joined Naomi in Malindi where they vlogged, went shopping, interacted and made acquaintances. Naomi would go ahead and invite her to her show “No filter with Naomi” to talk about challenges of being a coloured creative.  Naomi helped Elsa navigate stardom seamlessly, her cosign was pivotal in the direction of her career as she helped her bag deals. Naomi Campbell is the modeling goat for black women so you know her influence is surreal. It all went to the dogs when apparently Elsa made a deal to make “Elsa” a 15 minute documentary without consulting her (Naomi). The phone ringing stopped and the messages stopped messaging, her speed dial was on a slow run. Though not brave enough to say it at the time, Elsa faked her smiles on socials although it was biting each other behind the scenes. In authentic kenyanese I would report that “Majimbo alikuwa anakapitia like everyone Elsa”  The unexpected fallout and career detour drove her towards the bottle, turning her into an alcoholic at 19, well that's some white cap, oh no it's black cap. It's Ironic because in the USA you shouldn't drink until you're 21. After several attempts to reach out to Naomi turning futile, she went on a rant on TikTok in a video she has since deleted but Tweeted these afterwards.

You see, in my opinion ranting on Social Media is a huge rookie mistake. Those people on your socials are not your friends, and in case you don’t know Social Media thrives on negativity, especially, when it involves an up rising start, and a member of the old guard.  Hollywood is very interconnected and if you hit one nerve, you might end up getting attention of the “central nervous” of this system. Kinda like how The mushroom networks, made up of sprawling tendrils, work in The Last of Us on HBO, transferring information from a somewhat innocuous tendril (a small small interaction, Elsa thinking this is another innocent story she can tell), that brings about a consequence of epic proportions (some, that we are yet to see, but will have repercussions).

Naomi Campbell is not just any other black Model, she's the Margaret Thatcher of the modeling Industry.

The supermodel in her 50’s, has brushed shoulders with powerful friends, dwelled in halls of power in their absolute, and achieved things that Elsa can only dream of at the moment. Her longevity in the industry and influence has often come under speculation since she has been named allegedly, to be involved with Blood Diamonds, present in the Jeffrey Epstein list and hosting a peculiar party for Sean “P” Diddy. If you know whatever these relations are it ain't looking good capt’n. The Apple doesn't fall far from the tree , but in an Orchard, the apple is always near the tree.

It is very clear that Elsa Majimbo made a habit of biting more than she can chew, and when she started choking, instead of spitting, she made a bigger bite. She went too close to the sun, too soon and as expected, she most likely was burnt. She said that maybe Naomi was ALLEGEDLY sabotaging her career in the shadows? By posting that video, Elsa messed with the powers that be in Beverly Hills, and that ain't no damn Kilimani. Sometimes you win some others you lose, but this is something Elsa Majimbo had in her hands. Our Kenyan girl was holding Hollywood by the balls and if only she could have acted right (according to Hollywood) and become a sellout, we’d be having a new Kenyan actress/model raising our flag. But no, not Elsa Majimbo.

The “little discriminated African girl” card she used to obtain her 15 minutes of fame, is a clear indicator of how she is using this fake enmity with Naomi to gain sympathy. It wasn't talent that put her there, but sympathy, and now that that's gone too, all she thinks she can do is cry a bit more and apply buckets of oil. Like Gabriel Oguda always says ”The fear is gone and the clouds are gathering”

I don't see any talent in anything Elsa does, not her comedy, her laugh, modeling or her oil refinery hobby, just a bubble of nothingness that's in fair checkmate style, has made her rich. I finally understand why the USA was eager to have her, that girl can discover oil deposits with her skin.  For a person that doesn't have anything exceptional about her , she is very entitled, but again, isn't that Hollywood?

I hold nothing against Elsa Majimbo , okay maybe a little jealousy because I wish it was me but she knew what she was getting herself into, why is she surprised? She knows Naomi Campbell is bad news, why is she surprised? She knew Hollywood is a sell your soul type of market, why is she surprised?

The evidence is overwhelming yet she still needed proof.

While I dont have the whole picture of what transpired, I hope whatever has been left unsaid isn't about abuse, assault and sexual manipulation. But in this 8 minute video, Elsa ends up by acknowledging that Naomi gave her a lot of credibility at the start of her career. What I don't understand is, is this defamatory, congratulatory or just plain statements put out here?

This is a case of a village being in an African in the USA, the positive implications of this video are close to minimal, they even said they'd sue her ass. I heard somewhere that wisdom is learning when to talk, listen and act.

Elsa Majimbo dear, pardon my French but is it Naivetè?
